Hospice Staff Bring Christmas Cheer to Patients

The staff of Green River Hospice helped to spread holiday cheer to their patients in Hopkins, Muhlenberg and McLean counties in December. The staff went Christmas caroling to all their patients, with Dr. Kenneth Holder joining them as Santa. Each patient received a special gift from the man in red. Thanks to Mt. Gilead Church who volunteered their church van to transport the crew and gifts. The staff and hospice volunteers worked very hard preparing for this special day.

Hospice Receives Generous Donation for Patient Families

Cash Express's Madisonville locations recently collected clothing and toy donations for the families of Green River Hospice. Volunteers brought the donations, as well as canned goods collected by area schools, to the Hospice house on Scott Street. All of the clothing items were generously cleaned by Nu Look Cleaners. Hospice will distribute the items to their patients and families.

Additionally, Hospice staff went caroling at patient homes in the three-county area on Dec. 17 and 18. Dr. Holder dressed up as Santa Clause to bring added cheer to the patients. Each patient received a gift and a Christmas cake from the Hospice staff.
