- Students
initially apply to Murray State University for graduate admission and to
the Department of Nursing for admission for advanced practice
nursing.
Applicants must submit the M.S.U. application for Graduate Admission,
official transcripts from each and all previous senior colleges attended
to the Graduate Admission and Registrar's Office, Murray State University,
PO Box 9, Murray, KY 42071.
- Applicants must submit the Department of Nursing's application
for admission for advanced practice nursing, copy of
RN license, ACLS and PALS certifications to: Graduate Coordinator-Division
of Graduate Nursing, Murray State University, 120 Mason
Hall, Murray Kentucky 42071.
- Three recommendations (one each from a faculty member
of the applicant's undergraduate program, from current
supervisor, and from an RN Peer) using the Department of
Nursing Recommendation Request Form must be returned to the
Graduate Coordinator - Division of Graduate Nursing at Murray State University.
- All requirements must be completed by the application deadline. Following the application deadline, the Selection Committee comprised of representatives from Murray State University Department of Nursing and the Program of Anesthesia will review all completed application packages and offer interviews to the most qualified applicants. The interview date(s) is dependent upon the number of potential candidates. Notification of acceptance will occur no later than two weeks following the last interview date.
- Students admitted to the Department of Nursing will
receive registration materials from the Registrar.
- Each student will be admitted without regard to race,
creed, ethic origin, age, sex, disability, or marital
status.
Admission Physical Examination
An admission physical examination is required of all
students prior to entry into the program. The Physical
Examination Form of the Program of Anesthesia will
be made available to the student once the student has
notified the program of their intention to attend.
