Trover Health System

Obstetric Care from Pregnancy to Delivery

Office-Based Obstetric Services

Care for expectant mothers starts in the Center for Women's Health, adjacent to Regional Medical Center. From pregnancy to delivery to postpartum care, you can count on us to make the health of you and your baby our highest priority. Our family-centered approach means we work in close communication with you. We want to make sure you feel cared for and have the information you need. Ultimately, we want you to have confidence that your care team is providing the best care possible.

Advanced Ultrasound

Our three-dimensional color ultrasound technology makes the first picture of your baby a clear and highly detailed image. This advanced technique allows your care team to better evaluate the health of your baby and respond to needs early.

Advanced imaging provides our staff with the tools to better evaluate the health of your baby.

Education Programs

To help you understand the many facets of motherhood, we offer a variety of education programs. In addition to prepared childbirth classes, we also provide educational sessions on breastfeeding, infant care, mommy-fitness, nutrition, infant CPR, grandparenting, how to manage siblings at birth, and vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC).

Resource Center

During pregnancy, women?and their partners and family members?have many questions and educational needs as they prepare for the arrival of a baby. Our Resource Center is your source for information. The Resource Center is staffed by experienced obstetric / gynecology nurses and other professionals. You are invited to browse through the Resource Center while waiting for your appointment or anytime a question or a need for information arises.

Hospital-Based Obstetric Services

We emphasize comfort to help make the birthing experience one of the most special moments of your life. All phases of childbirth, labor, delivery and recovery are managed in a pleasant suite designed to create a home-like feeling. Should you need a cesarean section, it can be performed in the labor & delivery unit. After delivery, you and your baby are cared for by the same nurse, an expert in the needs of new babies and their mothers. The nurse can answer questions and provide educational support and encouragement if you choose to breastfeed.

Each specially designed Labor, Delivery, & Recovery Suite provides all the necessary medical equipment carefully concealed out of sight. This feature, along with plush furnishings, hardwood floors, and private baths afford each new mother and baby security and home-like comforts.

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)

Baby Keaton was cared for by our NICU Team after his birth at Regional Medical Center.

Sometimes new babies require specialized care. Regional Medical Center's Level III non-surgical NICU was established more than 25 years ago to meet the region's needs for critically ill infants. Our NICU team includes Neonatologists, Neonatal Nurse Practitioners, Respiratory therapists, Neonatal registered Nurses, Developmental Specialists, and Case Managers that are dedicated to providing family-oriented care for your baby.

Our staff strive to help families cope with an infant in the intensive care setting. During an infant's critical period, accommodations can be arranged for parents. Infant care education, CPR, and continuous monitor training for high risk infants are also provided.
